Well I have noticed a few things lately about Donovan. He has been wanting to sit on the potty but will not go. He also will point to his diaper and say "I peepee!" So a few days ago he came to my office and gagged and said, "yucky, I stinky!" (Yes, he really gagged)! So sure enough, he had poop. About 1 hour later he came back and did it again and sure enough he pooped again. I think that was my sign that I needed to get started. So this morning he tells me "I peepee." So I took his diaper off and decided to let him run around naked and then I put the little potty in my office so that he would sit with me. He thought it was cool at first but wouldn't go. I had left the room and Ellie yells that Donovan peed in my office. he peed right in front of the potty. So I made him sit on the potty and ran to the other room for a minute. He comes running out and sits on the couch like it is no big deal. So I look and he peed! The first time in the potty! I was so excited. I had to drag him to the room to show him that what he did was so great. He did not seem to think it was a big deal until I let him flush the pee down the toilet. Soon after he had 2 very nasty poop accidents. I don't know how we will deal with that because we have had major issues with Ellie and poop. So tonight I see him run to the bathroom and he is trying to climb on the big potty, just about fell in! So he sits down and pees, the whole time looking down there in amazement. WOOHOO! I did not even have to ask him if he needed to go. A little while later I was getting him ready for bed and told him that he needed to pee before going night night. He went and peed right away. It was so funny because I said "Push the pee out," and he grunted and there was the pee. I am so excited! I never thought I would get so excited about potty training! Three times today! We still have a ways to go but for the first day I think he did pretty good. I don't know why I started today because I work Tuesday through Saturday. You would think I would have done it on my days off.
So wish us luck! We are still struggling with some stuff with Ellie so maybe Donovan will help Ellie along. The doctor gave me some suggestions and had a little talk with Ellie so hopefully that will help.
Sorry if this seems like I rambled, I seem to do that.

Isn't it amazing what makes a mom happy! I am so glad to be done with that whole potty training bit. I wish you luck in the days to come.
It's the little things! :-) Liam was a lot like that too, so much easier than Ryleigh! I wonder if it's boys or a 2nd child thing!
Go Donovan! I have a feeling that Eryn will be easier too. (fingers crossed) She already is showing signs that she is interested. What fun it will be to go to the store and not have to buy diapers.
