Ellie pooped in the potty today for the first time!!!! I cried a little I was so happy. She is 4 years old and has been for the most part potty trained for at least a year but she would never poop in the potty. I have been at a loss as to what to do. The doctor said to not push and just be very encouraging and not make her feel ashamed. I thought this day would never come. My mom was here helping out while I worked. I was in the office and heard "G, come here, I am in the bathroom, hurry!" I heard something about poop at some point and went flying out of there. My mom and I met in the hall and ran into the bathroom. She was proudly sitting on the potty saying "I POOPED!" My mom was cheering, Ellie had a grin from ear to ear and I had big tears in my eyes. Now we need to try to figure out how to get rid of the nighttime diaper. We had told her MONTHS ago that if she would poop in the potty she could pick out a barbie. I believe she knows exactly which one she wants and Mikey will take her tomorrow to get it. I told everyone that for Christmas and her birthday to not buy her a barbie. Whenever we would try to get her to poop she would say, "I don't need a barbie."
Now I need to start working on Donovan. He has been talking a lot about his "peepee" and "stinky" so hopefully he won't be as hard as Ellie. It wll be so nice to have both kids out of diapers.
One more thing, Ellie asked me today if my baby will be a girl or a boy. How do I get her to understand that I am not having a baby? She told my mom that I was having "twos" (twins). We both laughed.

What a big accomplishment. I'm so proud of her. I hope Eryn is easy to potty train when it's time. Ryan never had a problem going poop but it took forever to get him to go pee. Hear's hoping that Donovan is super easy.
Yeah Ellie!!! Has she done it again since? That's the true test!
